Questions consistently asked are why foods with tremendous appeal to Americans who have likely had extremely positive experiences with these foods (having visited the Caribbean on vacations) have not reached their full potential, what can be done to achieve this and how to motivate young Caribbean Americans to enter the food profession as professionals and entrepreneurs.
NCAFFA was created in 2010 in response to these questions. Its founding members are Doreen Thompson, Dorel Callender, and Basil Buchanan.
