Hack the Future
The Institute of Caribbean Studies (ICS) in the person of ICS President, Futurist and Sustainability Engineer, Dr. Claire Nelson, will be among the innovators and thought leaders represented at the HAITI TECH SUMMIT.
The Haiti Tech Summit is a 13-year initiative of the Global Startup Ecosystem which conducts the largest online digital accelerator in emerging markets. The Summit aims to revitalize Haiti’s entrepreneurial economy and reposition it as a global study of catalyzed innovation within an emerging market country.
The Summit is the brainchild of CAHM 30 UNDER 30 Honoree Christine Souffrant Ntim, who has been blazing new trails in the Tech Industry since discovering her love of coding. Paul Ahlstrom and Ben Horowitz headline an A-List of techpreneurs and speakers from companies such as Essence, BlogHer, and Black Enterprise, all converging on Haiti from June 5-8th, to help launch a new revolution in the Caribbean. Among the companies sponsoring and partnering with the Haiti Tech Summit are Google Developers LaunchPad, Singularity University Caribbean, Access Haiti, Fast Company and Inc.
That Christine not yet 30 has been able to amass the clout to bring these actors to the table speaks volumes of her force and will.
