Budding star K’Coneil has been delivering an exciting array of music, videos, & live performances
Singer-songwriter K’Coneil migrated from Jamaica to the USA on a college scholarship. However; his love for music has charted another course for him. His music is a fusion of reggae, pop and r&b that he calls, Genre Fluid*—the ability to float in and out of different genres, in an attempt to create a palette of sonic perfection.
K’Coneil’s popularity has risen since the release of the single, Light Skin Love. In 2016 he released his debut EP titled Love/Lust which charted on Billboard, and top 10 reggae iTunes chart. The EP includes hit singles Hot Like You, Feel So Right, and Loving You Right.
He teamed up with Canadian recording artiste Kreesha Turner on the single, Love How You Whine produced by Grammy award producer Troyton Rami. They performed the single at the 2016 Canadian CUT Hip Hop Awards in Toronto, Canada.
His fans got a chance to see him on his successful Canadian Winter Tour. He has also garnered tremendous support on Canadian and other music charts and on rotation at NY’s HOT 97FM, POWER 105FM NY, Zip FM Jamaica, Fame FM Jamaica, 99 JAMZ Miami, and Y-100.
K’Coneil’s talents and performances have earned him the nomination for the Best New Entertainer by the International Reggae & World Music Awards (IRAWMA).
The 36th IRAWMA winners will be presented on Sunday, March 18th, 2018, in conjunction with the 37th Annual Chicago Music Awards at the Logan Center for the Arts @ the University of Chicago in Illinois.
Speaking on the nomination, K’Coneil said, “I strive to give my best every time I go in the studio or on stage and to be recognized for the effort is an amazing feeling; so to be nominated for best new performer is not only an accomplishment but coal for my fire to go harder for 2018 and beyond big up IRWWMA.”
K’Coneil’s manager W.Bloise is very pleased that the IRAWMA recognized his talents; “A ‘best of nomination’ in any category is a remarkable achievement. It’s one of the many indicators that validate an artist’s efforts and provides some reassurance that he or she is on the right path. Some say K’coneil is one to look out for, but I say …he is one of the ones that the world won’t be able to miss. The best of K’coneil is yet to come.”
